The 2nd Annual Wings Over Miami Air Museum Car Show presented by The AACA South Florida Region and Sunshine Corvette Club was held on November 21, 2009 right in the shadows of some extraordinary planes. A special thanks to both of the automobile clubs for hosting another fine show. The day was bright and full of surprises, including a landing by The Goodyear Blimp!
The show attendees were treated to air show style fly overs. A drawing for a flight in a beautiful CJ-6A was held and a very pleased winner was scheduled to fly off to new heights.
This annual automobile show is open to original and restored Corvettes of all ages plus antique cars 1984 and older. The cars are parked around the museum’s planes giving a unique mixture of antique ground transportation interspersed along side equally as impressive antique planes. Shows such as this one are a car and plane hobbyist’s dream!
Next year’s show is already on the calendar. Each year the show is bigger and better, so be sure to look forward to the Third Annual Wings Over Miami Car Show in November 2010!
